I am looking at going to Tyler TX next .. has anyone been in that area. Or the Dallas area..any suggestions on hospitals there?

I have not heard good things about Tyler hospital. I recently read a posting that rated Tyler East Tex Medical Center the worst place to work - med surg (as a traveler) You might want to research this, I don't know what area you work in. Rolling Eyes

I am an OR nurse of 20 plus years. I am currently working in Wyoming as a traveler. My contract ends in March. Are there any jobs in the OR making 35/hr. or more on the day or evening shifts?

I liked Baylor hospital...not for profit, private hospitals...And depending on how hard you like to work, downtown was interesting to see. The New Plano baylor opened recently-its nice! Baylor Hospital is all over Dallas area, eg. Baylor University Medical Center (downtown), Baylor of Plano, Baylor of Garland...I don't think there is a shortage of hospitals in Dallas. In school, Zale-Liptshy Hospital seemed really nice and so did Presby in Dallas.

Where is there a Baylor Hospital? I am not farmiliar with this hospital.

Don't know exactly what is available for OR right now, but all of his OR assignments pay at least $40 - $45/hr plus private hsg, travel & mabye rental car. He does not offer health insurance. What company are you with in wyoming? I would like to work there? Did you like your assingment? Was pay good? Thanks. Smile

I am working with Interim Healthcare out of Sunrise,Fl. Merridth is my recriter and she is good. This OR has only 2 or rooms and one endo room. Sometimes you get assigned to do conscious sedation in the endo room and sometimes pulled to PACU. The way is good. This assignment was good for me.
