Hi Everyone
I’m looking for some Theatre Nurse related information so hope I’ve come to the right place. Could someone please explain to me, in as much detail as you like, what is the function of the Perioperative Tracking Form system for instruments in the UK Operating Theatre environment? Does it track each individual instrument and enable the sterilisation department to know how many of each instrument are held at any one site at any time? I understand the system involves bar-coding and a ‘use by date’ label or labels attached to each instrument pack. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
