Hey,

I am currently a third year student in the UK. My elective placment starts in September 06. I have arranged to go to Oman, Muscat. Please could anybody who has nursing experience in the Middle East tell me what it is like and what to expect. Much appreciated.

Hi there..I have spent 4 yrs working in Abu Dhabi, in the UAE, as a midwife, great experience..i did love it! Muscat is beautiful though..esp if you like a smaller city, nicer beaches and nicer people too..write if you want any further info. Am currently living and working in the USA. blueprint1@hotmail.com

Nope never worked in Muscat..but have visited it a few times..it is a beautiful city! The Omani folk are very friendly and Im sure you will enjoy the hospital. Petrol is dirt cheap which makes everything else fairly cheap too..take lots of pics, go to Musendam, and Ras Al Kahmer...the beaches are wonderful, night life superrr.you will have an amazing time! Good Luck
