I am a resident of Lake Havasu City, which is an hour away from BHC... worked in California. From what I have heard, the hospital has gotten better in the last 2 years.
World Health on the other hand.. I wouldn't go near them. The email that I received from them stated, "send us your resume and checklist so that our sales team knows where to place you." Excuse me? SALES team? I don't need a used car salesman for a recruiter. |

I did two assignments with them and they were great. Always paid on time, every Friday, as promised. (AzNurse67) I don't know what you think a recruiter is suppose to be but they are all used car salesmen and women. If you think that the one you are working with isn’t then you are just inexperienced. They are not working for you because there are just real nice people. It’s all about money for them. |

Don't know if your going to Valley View or WARMC. WARMC is a hell hole! I did several contracts there, only stayed for the $$. If you say anything that goes against management they will let you go! Didn't happen to me but did to several travelers I worked with. Remember this that when you are offered great pay or a big bonus in travel nursing its only because it's usally a hell hole that nobody wants to work at!! |

How many travelers out there have encountered unsafe housing and
no help from their company to move? |

I only know of one other nurse out here that had any issues, but her recruiter found her something else the next day....
I have been staying at one of the hotels. I do not need much and I am working so many hours I am hardly there any way. |

I'm on my 3rd assignment with World Health and find them to be more than helpful. Never had any problems that weren't taken care of within 24 hours. My recruiter is good or as good as any I've had from any other company. I've also worked for Nightingale (Stay AWAY from them, I had to sue them to get my final paycheck, completion bonus and travel pay) Also worked for Access, they were also good to work for. I'm currently in Las Vegas, NV working at UMC and have no complaints so far, but then I've only been here for 2 weeks. |

Did not have a good assignment with world health. was told they do not have a good enough credit rating to get good housing that's why they want you to take the expense money and find your own housing. the assignment was not what I was led to believe also but got through it. will not use them again. |

I've never had a problem with housing from World Health. I've stayed in a condo right on Cocoa Beach in FL, a nice apartment in Petoskey, MI and where I'm staying in Las Vegas, NV isn't bad. I've been in other housing from Nightingale that when it rained the rain came in through the living room windows and when I tried to get it resolved the response I got was "well it probably won't rain again this summer" That was in Roswell, NM. Everyone has good and bad experiences with companies, so it's pretty much what you are willing to put up with and what you are not. I've never had a bad experience with a recruiter, just Nightingale itself. World Health is good and I'd take another assignment with them as I would with Access |

How is it going?? I am with world health in bullhead city (WARMC) and they raised the nurse patient ratio on the Tele unit from 4-5 per nurse to 6-7, and I told them I can't do that. It's too unsafe for my patients and for my license. They said they can't guaratee less than 6. So I am looking to go to Las Vegas soon. |

If you go to Vegas, dont go to Valley Health System. THat system is a very difficult system to work for. I just completed an assignment at Summerlin, which is part of that system, and I have lost almost 40 lbs from running my butt off literally. If you go there, go to St. Rose Dominican Hospital or UMC. Good luck to you! |

I can't believe they are still in business !
I met a couple of travelers who were with them last year in Washington State.
They had traveled all the way from some South Eastern state....and were
sent to the Best Western....on their 3 day (we all worked nights) they were
awakened by the hotel manager demanding their personal credit cards to guarantee payment for their rooms !!! Rooms that World Health was supposed to be paying for....
The story was that their apt. was "not ready" yet.... 2 weeks passed and
when they didn't get paid....still had no housing....and had had to move in
with one of the staff nurses after being thrown out of the Best Western...
Well...it wasn't pretty, but they got in their cars and drove home....I felt very badly for them, but I was with another agency. |

I'm pretty sure World Health is now named Travel Nurse Solutions, I heard they changed their name because they went bankrupt as World Health |

I believe you are correct when you say that World Health is now TNS. 2 years ago WH went bankrupt because the CEO at the time had lied on his resume saying that he graduated from some college in Pittsburg but he just attended there and didn't graduate. This in turn was considered to inflate the stocks based on false information so they got their butts sued off by all the stockholders. The company is barely staying afloat and they are probably buried in debt. I wouldn't work for WH or TNS if my life depended on it. With their rocky past who knows what will become of them in the future. I would sure hate to be on contract with them when they fold because I'm sure they will take everyone that is involved with them down as well. SCARY STUFF! |
