Hi all - I have been a registered nurse since 1990 - (Long before I was married with kids). I have worked in as a staff nurse in Cardiac Surgery, Plastic Surgery, PICU, NICU, & Home Care, then as a Home Care Supervisor and currently I am the Director of Complicance for a great Home Care Agency in Long Island. After I was married and had kids I took some time off from nursing but I really missed it and decided it was time to go back. At that time I chose Home Care (clearly not for the money - right?) but for the flexibility. It really fit into my lifestyle but I still had childcare issues. My friend (Of course another nurse) told me about au pairs. AND after some research we decided it was right for us and have been using au pairs to help with our childcare and light housekeeping for 6 years. I now also work for the company and can help you with your childcare issues too ! - respond to this blog and I will tell you all you need to know about how to get started - [/i] |
