Has anyone traveled to Nashville, TN? I'm new to traveling and trying to find an agency that pays well. I'm also trying to find out which hospitals are good (to nursing staff) and which ones to avoid in Nashville. Currently, I'm checking with Intelistaf, INS, and Medstaff. I've been told that I should ask for $22/hr (taxable) and then max out the per diem rate (which for TN is about $1100/wk...nontaxable). $22/hr seems low but then the taxfree $$ seems good. Anyone have any insights or advice? |

Hi,
Although I do not know anything about traveling in TN, I did want to let you know I read somewhere recently that nurses have difficulty get there $$ from Intelistaf. I currently work for RN Network, so far this have been good. Hope that helps.

I start my first assignment in Nashville on 9/8. Took the housing subsidy so pay is good for the area. Southern hospitals as a whole pay low. Worked a perm. position in KY and the pay was horrible with over 10yrs exp. Will be working ER nights. I am getting 1 1/2 wks orientation which is good, at least not being thrown to the wolves. Should be interesting. Talked with alot of companies and went with RNNetwork. |
