I currently work in NICU. Does it vary that much per speciality?

Including shift diff and charge pay, around 50,000 here....our ICU's pay 3 dollars more an hour.

In the New York area the salaries are in the 60,000- 70,000 range + experiance + dgree + certifications + longevity.
