Hi, I am considering becoming an RN or a surgery technologist, BUT, I have hepatitis C, and am concerned it may be a problem. I just finished treatment, and it was successful, but from what I understand it can come back at any time. Does anyone know if things like this are a problem when working in the health field?
Thanks,
Tara |

I don't know of anyone who wants to know your Hepatitis C status (or HIV, for that matter) before hiring you.
I doubt that it's a problem, even in the OR --- remember "Universal Precautions" are about preventing problems. |

Okay, excellent. I really wasn't sure if they ask you things like that or not. |
