I believe that the label "nurse" does not fit with the male nursing image anymore and with more and more males in the nursing field I believe we should come up with a different title. Anyone who watched "meet the parents" know that males are given a hard time for being a nurse. Does anyone have any suggestions? |

How is the male nursing image different from the female nursing image? We all do the same job. Has that overall imaged changed, in your opinion? |

Just because men are in nursing doesn't mean the profession has changed. Do we change the title doctor because women are in it or a teacher? I am a nurse who happens to be male. I am not a male nurse. |

The historic stereotype is that nursing is a female field. |

That is true, Scott, but it still is the same job. Isn't it? I don't call my male colleauges "male nurses." |
