Hi All You Nurses Out There I Need A Little Info About Nursing Iam think of Either Go Into It Or Have It As A Back up Plan During Collage Iam A Sophmore In High School Wow A High School Student Talking About Her Furture Well Ne Ways I would Like To Get More Info On This Carrer If You Could Take You TIme And Tell ME What Kinda Of Options I Have Like What Kinda Of Money It pays I Want A Job I Can Enjoy There Is A Vocational Class Avablabiel At My School To Be A LPN But It For Senoiors I Would LIke To Go Into Astronamy But We Will See How I LIke Nurseing FIrst And All But Astronamy Is My First Chocie But You Must Always Keep Your Options Open So Ne One Willing To Talk Let Me Know |

Nursing would offer much more job security than astronomy. There is a need for nurses that isn't going away real soon while astronomers aren't in as much demand.
Consequently, the salaries available are probably better in nursing as well. |

The only way going in to nursing would help you is if you didn't do anything with astronomy anymore. The two are in no way related, obviously.
I did an apprenticeship in high school (junior and senior year), where I went to school for half the day and took medical related "jobs" and classes. These included getting my CNA, working in a lab, radiology, physical therapy, etc. Does your school district/city offer anything like this? I have found it very helpful, and kept my CNA job for 5 years, until I graduated from college. |
