As someone still researching the healthcare industry I have a few questions.
When you take a permanent position how long is the standard contract or is it at will? Do you have annual reviews where you can request a raise? Also is it harder to find permanent positions? |

I work in California which is an at will employment State. It may vary per state. I would contact the state nursing board to verify. I believe raises come as you progress with time and specialization. But it never hurst to ask for a raise. Definently inquire about this when interviewing. Because there is such a shortage of nurses in the U.S. I think getting a permanent position is quite easy. |
