Was wondering if you all keep your house as you travel?
I was wondering about who you have watch it?
Is there some insurance issue, or do you just not tell them that you will be gone for 3 months or so?
Thanks so much, Have traveled before, just never owned a house while i did it.

All the travelers I know have kept a house. I was told that's the only way you can receive the "Tax reduction/free" pay, but don't quote me on that. That came from a recruiter. I was also informed that if you are absent from your home for more than 31 consecutive days your homeowners insurance will default. That came from a realtor. I'm almost afraid to call the insurance company to ask.
Hope that helps

I keep my home while I travel. I like to come back between assignment and to take a little time off, visit with family and friends. I fortunatly have a brother that lives 2 blocks away so he shovels the walks during winter, keeps the heat set so pipes don't freeze. But I trust him to do these thing. It's a security thing for me, and yes I need to keep up with the insurance.
