Hi! I'm from AK, worked up there for several years as a RN, and worked with many travel nurses up there. There is a local company, American Nursing Services, that most nurses work with. I'm planning to go back up this summer as a traveler, and will be going with NovaPro, a much smaller independent division of Cross Country Trav Corps, and have been having great luck with them. AK is also offering great deals, esp if you work at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. Companies are always looking for RNs to work in Bethel or Nome, but be warned-they are seriously in the bush: off the road system, and about a 3 hour flight from Anchorage. Good luck!
