I have had experience and heard - allegedly of course - that modern matrons and their 70,000 pay packet are destroying our, not just the hospitals, but the nhs. Their willingness to suck up to the higher eschelon in the knowledge that if they do what these people say then they will get more money and more bonuses. The mm's are recruited with several objections in mind, but one sticks out. Cutting costs dramatically, i.e getting rid of staff. I have witnessed extraordinary efforts to achieve this. Once they have achieved what the higher eschelon has asked them to do, the mm's bugger off to a new hospital. get rid of them. |
