I know as a travel nurse that establishing solid relationships in 13 weeks is slim to none. So I wonder how those who accept short assignments like 4-6 weeks handle it. Do you just go and surround yourself with work? Is it just about the money? Do you really have to time experience your surroundings? Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Assignments that short are kind of rare, but the one's I've accepted were fillers so that I would have a job between my longer travel assignment. Personally I don't think pay would have anything to do with it. Since it will cost you more to pick up and leave again.

I've read that many short term assignments are available due to strike breaking. Don't know much about it. I would just let your recruiter know your interested in a shorter assignment and see what they can do for you!
